Mary: Driving by the street, there are multiple restaurants so you really have to look to find Sahan. Been there twice now so I am a good candidate to write a review. Average $15 which includes lentil goat soup, juice (mango or grapfruit) main entre, tea. The first time I got the soup i was concerned it would have a very "goat-meaty" taste but to my surprise it didnt. I loved it! The entree had a generous amount of food. I've tried both juice, cant say I am a fan as it has a lot of sugar in it. The tea is not bad.That was my first trip, now I went again because I loved it so much. Got the exact same items lentil soup, chicken sukar. This time though, the lentil soup tasted like I was eating a goat. I kid you not, after one sip I was done. Now, alot of people are fine with that. This is just a fair warning to those that arent a fan of that overly meaty goat taste. Onto the entrée, this time the chicken sukar was alot diffrent then the last time even the color was different. It didnt taste the same either. Even my husband who didnt go with me the first time but tried my left over was surprised it was the same dish. I was very let down as my first visit I nearly ate it all.The servers were very pleasant. Looks like a family runs it so theres a comfortable homey feeling. But unfortunately, the food was not consistent. PROS: Alot of seating space, Private dinning rooms, Decent Price (avg 15-20 a person), nice service. CONS: Un Consistent Food
Mary: J M.: What can we say??? Really good restaurant! If not for the service alone but the food was delicious and the portions gigantic! Each meal comes with a meat, rice, bit of salad, yummy mango juice, and to top it off tea! Service was friendly and hospitality on point.. We will come here again definitely! (we ordered the beef and chicken stew dinners Btw... Delicious!)
